Howdy from Bluegrass Chicago! Spring is coming and with it some opportunities for outdoor Bluegrass and Old Time events. The event calendar on the website has been dormant during this difficult past year, but we are feeling hopeful for the future. I know everyone is anxious to get back to enjoying music with other folks. Hopefully, you’ve spent your time woodshedding and are ready to bring some new tunes to your local jams as soon as it’s safe to do so!
We would like to begin adding events to the calendar as of April 1st, so please send us your events! It is easiest for us if you fill out this form so we have all the information needed:
These are the spring bluegrass & old-time events we are adding currently:
- Virtual events that would be of interest to the Bluegrass Chicago community, broadcast from any location
- Any Covid safe events (indoor or outdoor)
- Album Releases
- Summer outdoor festivals or gatherings
We know some people are vaccinated and some outdoor jams are beginning to happen again. At this time, we are not adding those to the calendar, they are probably best kept small. We are also not adding any indoor events yet.
For events going on the calendar, please try to give us at least a week’s notice, more is better because then we might even have time to write a blog post or do some extra promotion! If something comes up last minute, we are often happy to share a Facebook post to help amplify your event even if we don’t have time to add it to the calendar, just let us know.
