The Northern Illinois Bluegrass Association (NIBA) is dedicated to promoting and preserving “America’s Heritage Music” (Bluegrass) via support of regular monthly jam sessions, open stages, sponsored events, concerts, festivals, IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association), educational programs and a variety of other events.
ChicagoBluegrass is Chicago’s north-shore home for bluegrass music with listening showcases, group classes, and jams in an intimate setting. Only at Evanston’s historic American Legion Post 42, since 1919. Support your local veterans & bluegrass music! No dogs allowed.

The Old Town School of Folk Music provides a wide range of music, dance, theater, and visual arts courses to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. It provides broad access to more than 700 accredited class offerings, private lessons, and workshops spanning an array of artistic genres.
